The Great Manchester Painting Project

In freezing January two intrepid artists decided they needed the challenge and inspiration of working outdoors. With a common interest in cityscape, they began weekly visits to Manchester. Norman Long and Michael Ashcroft (more recently joined by Chris McLoughlin) can be seen most Thursdays on the streets of central Manchester.

We have now built up a body of small plein air studies and are beginning to develop into larger pieces. Michael will be showing some of these in his upcoming show at Hepplestone Fine Art from 21st June - a real must-see.   Details

The following collection of nine Manchester paintings will be included in the Summer Show at Wendy J Levy  Gallery in Didsbury from 6th July to 31st August. Details
